KDU (Kurram Doctors Union) was established as a platform to connect doctors and healthcare professionals from the Kurram region, enabling us to give back to our communities in a structured and sustainable way. Our aim is not only to respond to urgent health needs, but also to provide preventive care, mental health support, and educational empowerment; especially to the youth.

Project : Early Wind – Guiding Futures: A Joint Initiative by OSO & KDU

A Collaboration Between KDU & OSO (Omeed Social Organisation)

Through my collaboration with OSO, a visionary social organization working across multiple sectors, we launched a joint project called:

Early Wind – Guiding Futures

This long-term initiative was built around a simple but powerful mission: to empower students and vulnerable youth through practical education, basic healthcare, and mental resilience.

Each program under Early Wind – Guiding Futures addresses what I consider to be the 8 Key Areas of Intervention, a framework we follow in every field activity.

8 Key Areas of Intervention

1 Physical Health Care :
Free medical check-ups, screenings, and referrals for children and students in need.

2 Mental Health & Psychological Support :
Workshops, Q&A sessions, and private counseling to help young people handle stress and trauma.

3 Dental Care Clinics :
Oral hygiene education and basic preventive check-ups for children and adolescents.

4 Basic Health Education :
Interactive sessions covering hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, and emergency care.

5 Female Hygiene Awareness :
Distribution of menstrual hygiene kits and open conversations around female health.

6 Educational and Career Guidance :
Helping students understand how to learn, plan their studies, and explore future opportunities.

 7 Technology Access & Learning Boost :
Introducing simple digital tools and skills to support modern learning environments.

 8 Institutional Staff Training :
Empowering teachers with knowledge about child health, mental health, and classroom tech use.

Camp Peace Group of Colleges

Originally planned for Kurram Agency and Abbottabad, the event was limited to Abbottabad due to safety concerns. Multiple institutions were contacted, but Peace Group of Colleges stood out for their warm hospitality and organizational support.

Orphanage Care Camp Khyber Kor

A remarkable event unfolded in Peshawar under the direction of Dr. Hassan Khushi. The Orphanage Care Camp (OCC) wasn’t just a medical intervention — it was a carefully orchestrated initiative aimed at providing orphaned children with the physical, mental, and emotional attention they deserve.
